Directory traversal in DataWizard WebXQ server 1.204 allows remote attackers to view files outside of the web root via a .. (dot dot) attack.

The weakness was shared 04/26/2001 by Joe Testa (Website). The advisory is shared for download at archives.neohapsis.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2001-0495. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details are unknown but an exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1006.
