Directory traversal in DataWizard WebXQ server 1.204 allows remote attackers to view files outside of the web root via a .. (dot dot) attack.
The weakness was shared 04/26/2001 by Joe Testa (Website). The advisory is shared for download at archives.neohapsis.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2001-0495. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details are unknown but an exploit is available.
