Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in VisualAge for Java 3.5 Professional allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript on other clients via the URL, which injects the script in the resulting error message.

The bug was discovered 07/02/2001. The weakness was released 07/02/2001 as confirmed posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared at archive.cert.uni-stuttgart.de. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2001-1441 since 04/21/2005. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
