askSam Web Publisher 1.0 and 4.0 allows remote attackers to determine the full path to the web root directory via a request for a file that does not exist, which generates an error message that reveals the full path.

The bug was discovered 05/04/2002. The weakness was released 12/31/2002 as not defined posting (Bugtraq). It is possible to read the advisory at online.securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2002-1728 since 06/21/2005. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely.
