Buffer overflow in tftpd of TFTP32 2.21 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a long filename argument.
The weakness was presented 12/31/2002 by Aviram Jenik as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). The advisory is shared for download at kb.cert.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2002-2226 since 09/23/2007. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
