A vulnerability was found in pWins Webserver up to 0.2.5 (Web Server). It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown code of the component Unicode Character Handler. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in pWins Webserver 0.2.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via Unicode characters.
