Mozilla 1.0 allows remote attackers to steal cookies from other domains via a javascript: URL with a leading "//" and ending in a newline, which causes the host/path check to fail.

The weakness was released 12/31/2002 as confirmed mailinglist post (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared for download at seclists.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2002-2314 since 10/26/2007. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.
