A vulnerability was found in Sun One Application Server 7.0 on Windows (Application Server Software). It has been declared as problematic. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the webapps-simple sample application for (1) Sun ONE Application Server 7.0 for Windows 2000/XP or (2) Sun Java System Web Server 6.1 allows remote attackers to insert arbitrary web script or HTML via an HTTP request that generates an "Invalid JSP file" error, which inserts the text in the resulting error message.
The weakness was released 06/30/2003 with SPI Labs as not defined posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared at marc.theaimsgroup.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2003-0413 since 06/10/2003. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
