SQL injection vulnerability in the IMAP daemon in dbmail 1.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the (1) login username, (2) mailbox name, and possibly other attack vectors.
The weakness was presented 12/31/2003 by Timo Sirainen (Website). The advisory is shared for download at mailman.fastxs.net. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2003-1523 since 10/25/2007. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
