The secldapclntd daemon in AIX 4.3, 5.1 and 5.2 uses an Internet socket when communicating with the loadmodule, which allows remote attackers to directly connect to the daemon and conduct unauthorized activities.
The issue has been introduced in 09/01/1999. The weakness was disclosed 02/03/2004 as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). The advisory is available at kb.cert.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2003-0119 since 02/28/2003. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1068 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
