The manipulation of the argument $cmd with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. Directory traversal vulnerability in buildManPage in class.manpagelookup.php for PHP Man Page Lookup 1.2.0 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via the command parameter ($cmd variable) to index.php.

The weakness was presented 02/17/2004 with isec (Website). The advisory is shared for download at xforce.iss.net. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2004-0071. The exploitability is told to be easy.
