The weakness was released 07/27/2004 (Website). The advisory is available at xforce.iss.net. This vulnerability was named CVE-2004-0695 since 07/14/2004. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
