with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. SQL injection vulnerability in out.ViewFolder.php in MyDMS before 1.4.2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the folderid parameter.
The weakness was disclosed 08/20/2004 (Website). The advisory is shared at xforce.iss.net. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2004-1732 since 02/26/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1505 for this issue.
By approaching the search of inurl:out.ViewFolder.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking. The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 14327 (MyDMS < 1.4.3 Multiple Vulnerabilities), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family CGI abuses and running in the context r. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 12118 (MyDMS SQL Injection Vulnerability and Unspecified Directory Traversal Vulnerability).
Upgrading to version 1.4.2 eliminates this vulnerability.
The vulnerability is also documented in the databases at X-Force (17054) and Tenable (14327). The entry 22158 is pretty similar.
