Shoppingfeed PrestaShop is an add-on to the PrestaShop ecommerce platform to synchronize data. The module Shoppingfeed for PrestaShop is vulnerable to SQL injection between version 1.4.0 and 1.8.2 due to a lack of input sanitization. This issue has been addressed in version 1.8.3. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this issue.

The weakness was shared 04/19/2023 as GHSA-vfmq-w777-qvcf. The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2023-28839 since 03/24/2023. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1505.

Upgrading to version 1.8.3 eliminates this vulnerability. Applying a patch is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at github.com. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.
