The bug was discovered 10/06/2004. The weakness was presented 12/31/2004 by Alexander Antipov with SecurityLab.RU (Website). The advisory is available at archives.neohapsis.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2004-1578 since 02/20/2005. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit.
