Cisco CSS 11000 routers on the CS800 chassis allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption or reboot) via a large number of TCP SYN packets to the circuit IP address, aka "ONDM Ping failure."

The weakness was shared 08/08/2003 by Eduardo Cruz, Emilin Garcia and Jordi Andre with S21SEC (Website). The advisory is available at s21sec.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2003-0677 since 08/08/2003. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Technical details are unknown but an exploit is available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1499 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
