A vulnerability was found in MercuryBoard Message Board up to 1.1.2 (Forum Software) and classified as problematic. This issue affects some unknown processing. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in MercuryBoard before 1.1.3 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the title field of a PM (private message).

The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2005-0878 since 03/26/2005. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
