The addnew script in Argosoft Mail Server Pro 1.8.7.6 allows remote attackers to create arbitrary accounts, even if "Allow Creation of Accounts From the Web Interface" is disabled, via a direct HTTP POST request.

The bug was discovered 01/24/2005. The weakness was presented 04/22/2005 by ShineShadow (Website). The advisory is shared for download at archives.neohapsis.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2005-1284 since 04/26/2005. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely.
