Squid 2.5.STABLE9 and earlier does not trigger a fatal error when it identifies missing or invalid ACLs in the http_access configuration, which could lead to less restrictive ACLs than intended by the administrator.
The bug was discovered 05/10/2005. The weakness was disclosed 05/02/2005 (Website). The advisory is shared at squid-cache.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2005-1345 since 04/28/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely.
