Details
A vulnerability was found in Fishnet FishCart 3.1 and classified as critical. This issue affects some unknown processing of the file upstnt.php. The manipulation of the argument psku with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
** DISPUTED ** Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in FishCart 3.1 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the (1) cartid parameter to upstnt.php or (2) psku parameter to display.php. NOTE: the vendor disputes this report, saying that they are forced SQL errors. The original researcher is known to be unreliable.
The bug was discovered 05/04/2005. The weakness was published 05/03/2005 by Diabolic Crab (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at digitalparadox.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2005-1487 since 05/11/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1505 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
After before and not just, there has been an exploit disclosed. The exploit is available at exploit-db.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. The real existence of this vulnerability is still doubted at the moment. By approaching the search of inurl:upstnt.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking. The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 18191 , which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment.
