Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the convert_highlite_words function in Invision Blog before 1.1.2 Final allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via double hex encoded highlight data.
The bug was discovered 06/07/2005. The weakness was shared 06/09/2005 by James Bercegay with Gulftech (Website). The advisory is shared at gulftech.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2005-1945 since 06/14/2005. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
