Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in vBulletin before 3.0.9 allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) group parameter to css.php, (2) redirect parameter to index.php, (3) email parameter to user.php, (4) goto parameter to language.php, (5) orderby parameter to modlog.php, and the (6) hex, (7) rgb, or (8) expandset parameter to template.php.

The bug was discovered 07/20/2005. The weakness was disclosed 09/21/2005 (Website). The advisory is shared at xforce.iss.net. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2005-3020 since 09/21/2005. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.

The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 61 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $0-$5k.
