. The manipulation of the argument get_string_ahref
with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-119. Buffer overflow in the get_string_ahref function for ProZilla 1.3.7.4 and possibly earlier, with the -ftpsearch option enabled, allows remote servers to execute arbitrary code via a search response with a crafted string in the HREF field of an <A> tag.
The bug was discovered 10/03/2005. The weakness was disclosed 10/03/2005 by Tavis Ormandy (Website). The advisory is available at debian.org.
