Absolute path traversal vulnerability in Rockliffe MailSite Express before 6.1.22 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a full pathname in the AttachPath field of a mail message under composition.
The weakness was released 11/02/2005 by Paul Craig with security-assessment.com as confirmed posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared for download at marc.theaimsgroup.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2005-3431 since 11/02/2005. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. Upgrading to version 6.1.22 eliminates this vulnerability.
