The weakness was disclosed 11/02/2005 by Alexander Kornbrust with Application Security, Inc. (Website). The advisory is available at us-cert.gov. This vulnerability was named CVE-2005-3437. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
