The bug was discovered 12/18/2006. The weakness was disclosed 12/18/2006 by Carsten Eiram with Secunia Research (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at secunia.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2006-6605 since 12/17/2006. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details are unknown but an exploit is available.
