The bug was discovered 03/01/2005. The weakness was released 07/30/2005 by James Bercegay with Gulftech (Website). The advisory is available at gulftech.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2005-2460 since 08/05/2005. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
