A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in my little homepage my little forum 2004-04-20 (Forum Software). Affected is the function bbcode
of the file functions.php. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-80. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the bbcode function in functions.php in my little homepage my little forum, as last modified in June 2005, allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary Javascript via a javascript URI in BBcode link tags.
The weakness was disclosed 01/25/2006 by Aliaksandr Hartsuyeu (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2006-0471 since 01/31/2006. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details and a exploit are known. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.
After even before and not, there has been an exploit disclosed. It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:functions.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
There is no information about possible countermeasures known. It may be suggested to replace the affected object with an alternative product.
