A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Aztek Forum 4.0 (Forum Software). This vulnerability affects some unknown processing of the file index.php of the component Error Message Handler. The manipulation of the argument msg with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. Aztek Forum 4.0 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information via a "*/*" in the msg parameter to index.php, which reveals usernames and passwords in a MySQL error message, possibly due to a forced SQL error or SQL injection.

The weakness was presented 03/02/2006 (Website). The advisory is available at archives.neohapsis.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2006-1111 since 03/09/2006. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. This vulnerability is assigned to T1505 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
