Apple Safari 2.0.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service and possibly execute code via an invalid FRAME tag, possibly due to (1) multiple SCROLLING attributes with no values, or (2) a SRC attribute with no value. NOTE: due to lack of diagnosis by the researcher, it is unclear which vector is responsible.
The bug was discovered 04/19/2006. The weakness was released 04/21/2006 by Tom Ferris (Website). The advisory is available at vupen.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2006-1987 since 04/21/2006. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
