Directory traversal vulnerability in SolarWinds TFTP Server 8.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to download arbitrary files via a crafted GET request including "....//" sequences, which are collapsed into "../" sequences by filtering.
The weakness was shared 04/24/2006 with Rapid7 (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2006-1951 since 04/20/2006. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1006 for this issue.
