The bug was discovered 04/21/2006. The weakness was presented 04/24/2006 by Marc Bevand with Rapid7 as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). The advisory is shared at kb.cert.org. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2006-0230 since 01/17/2006. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely.
