PHP remote file inclusion vulnerability in classes/adodbt/sql.php in Limbo CMS 1.04 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code via a URL in the classes_dir parameter.

The weakness was published 04/29/2006 by [Oo] (Website). The advisory is available at vupen.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2006-2142 since 05/01/2006. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details and also a public exploit are known.

A public exploit has been developed by [Oo] and been published before and not just after the advisory. It is possible to download the exploit at securityfocus.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:sql.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking. The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 21308 (Limbo CMS sql.php classes_dir Parameter Remote File Inclusion), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family CGI abuses.
