Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in maillist.php in PHPMailList 1.8.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the email parameter.

The bug was discovered 06/06/2006. The weakness was shared 07/05/2006 by Lostmon Lords (Website). The advisory is shared for download at vupen.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2006-3482 since 07/10/2006. The exploitability is told to be difficult. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details and a exploit are known.
