A vulnerability has been found in Cheese Tracker up to 0.9.9 and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects the function loader_xm::load_instrument_internal

Buffer overflow in the Loader_XM::load_instrument_internal function in loader_xm.cpp for Cheese Tracker 0.9.9 and earlier allows user-assisted attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted file with a large amount of extra data.
The bug was discovered 07/23/2006. The weakness was released 07/25/2006 by Luigi Auriemma (Website). The advisory is available at xforce.iss.net.
