A vulnerability was found in ImageMagick (Image Processing Software). It has been classified as critical. This affects the function readsgiimage of the file sgi.c. Upgrading to version 6.2.9 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published 5 months after the disclosure of the vulnerability. Furthermore it is possible to detect and prevent this kind of attack with TippingPoint and the filter 5267.
