A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in Dws Systems Inc. SQL-Ledger up to 2.6.18. Affected is an unknown code of the file login.pl of the component Terminal. The manipulation of the argument terminal
with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on integrity. CVE summarizes:
Multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities in (1) login.pl and (2) admin.pl in (a) SQL-Ledger before 2.6.19 and (b) LedgerSMB before 1.0.0p1 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary Perl code via an unspecified terminal parameter value containing ../ (dot dot slash).
The bug was discovered 09/11/2006. The weakness was disclosed 09/12/2006 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at sourceforge.net.
