A vulnerability was found in mxBB Kb Mods 2.0.2. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects an unknown code block. The manipulation of the argument phpEx
with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in includes/kb_constants.php in the Knowledge Base (mx_kb) 2.0.2 module for mxBB allows remote attackers to include arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) sequence in the phpEx parameter.
