** DISPUTED ** PHP remote file inclusion vulnerability in the Enigma2 plugin (Enigma2.php) in Enigma WordPress Bridge allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code via a URL in the boarddir parameter. NOTE: CVE disputes this issue, since $boarddir is set to a fixed value.
The weakness was presented 12/31/2006 by xoron as confirmed posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2006-6863 since 01/04/2007. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. The current price for an exploit might be approx. USD $0-$5k (estimation calculated on 04/12/2019).
A public exploit has been developed by Mehmet Ince and been published even before and not after the advisory. It is possible to download the exploit at exploit-db.com. The real existence of this vulnerability is still doubted at the moment. By approaching the search of inurl:enigma2.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
