The Administration Console for BEA Tuxedo 8.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to determine the existence of files outside the web root via modified paths in the INIFILE argument.

The bug was discovered 10/29/2003. The weakness was published 10/30/2003 with Corsaire Security Advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at dev2dev.bea.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2003-0621 since 07/31/2003. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
