A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in PHP-Nuke Eboard Module 1.0.7 (Content Management System). Affected by this issue is an unknown part of the file member.php. The manipulation of the argument GLOBALS[name]
with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in member.php in the eBoard 1.0.7 module for PHP-Nuke allows remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files via a .. (dot dot) in the GLOBALS[name] parameter.
The weakness was shared 04/08/2007 with bd0rk (Website). The advisory is available at vupen.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2007-1934 since 04/10/2007. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. This vulnerability is assigned to T1006 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
