Symantec pcAnywhere 11.5.x and 12.0.x retains unencrypted login credentials for the most recent login within process memory, which allows local administrators to obtain the credentials by reading process memory, a different vulnerability than CVE-2006-3785.
The weakness was disclosed 05/11/2007 as SYM07-006 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at securityresponse.symantec.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2007-2619 since 05/11/2007. An attack has to be approached locally. The successful exploitation needs a simple authentication. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1592 for this issue.
