The bug was discovered 05/29/2007. The weakness was released 05/28/2007 by Shadow with n.runs (Website). The advisory is available at forum.antivir-pe.de. This vulnerability was named CVE-2007-2974 since 05/31/2007. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
