The manipulation of the argument cid with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. SQL injection vulnerability in categoria.php in LiveCMS 3.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the cid parameter.

The weakness was released 06/20/2007 by vipsta (Website). The advisory is shared at vupen.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2007-3293 since 06/20/2007. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1505 for this issue.

A public exploit has been developed in Perl. The exploit is available at securityfocus.com. It is declared as highly functional. By approaching the search of inurl:categoria.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.

There is no information about possible countermeasures known. It may be suggested to replace the affected object with an alternative product.
