Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in activeWeb contentserver before 5.6.2964 allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the msg parameter to (1) errors/rights.asp or (2) errors/transaction.asp, or (3) the name of a MIME type (mimetype).

The weakness was released 07/13/2007 by RedTeam Pentesting (Website). The advisory is shared at redteam-pentesting.de. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2007-3014 since 06/04/2007. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.

By approaching the search of inurl:errors/rights.asp it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.

Upgrading to version 5.6.2929 eliminates this vulnerability.
