Multiple unspecified vulnerabilities in Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10CU2 and 12.0.1 allow remote attackers to have an unknown impact via (a) Oracle Configurator (APPS02), (b) Oracle iExpenses (APPS03), (c) Oracle Application Object Library (APPS09), and (1) APPS12, (2) APPS13, and (3) APPS14 in (d) Oracle Payables.

The weakness was released 07/18/2007 by Esteban Martinez Fayo (Alexander) with Application Security, Inc. (Website). The advisory is shared at us-cert.gov. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2007-3866 since 07/18/2007. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.

The exploit is available at securityfocus.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. We expect the 0-day to have been worth approximately $25k-$100k. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 19219 (Oracle July 2007 Security Update Multiple Vulnerabilities).

There is no information about possible countermeasures known. It may be suggested to replace the affected object with an alternative product. Furthermore it is possible to detect and prevent this kind of attack with TippingPoint and the filter 5545.
