A vulnerability has been found in TLM CMS up to 1.1 (Content Management System) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown code block of the file mod_forum/afficher.php. The manipulation of the argument id_sujet
with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in TLM CMS 3.2 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via (1) the id parameter to news.php in a lirenews action, (2) the idnews parameter to goodies.php in a lire action, (3) the id parameter to file.php in a voir action, (4) the ID parameter to affichage.php, (5) the id_sal parameter to mod_forum/afficher.php, or (6) the id_sujet parameter to mod_forum/messages.php. NOTE: it was later reported that goodies.php and affichage.php scripts are reachable through index.php, and 1.1 is also affected. NOTE: it was later reported that the goodies.php vector also affects 3.1.
The weakness was disclosed 09/08/2007 (Website). The advisory is available at milw0rm.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2007-4808 since 09/11/2007. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. This vulnerability is assigned to T1505 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
A public exploit has been developed by k1tk4t and been published immediately after the advisory. It is possible to download the exploit at exploit-db.com. It is declared as highly functional. By approaching the search of inurl:mod_forum/afficher.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
There is no information about possible countermeasures known. It may be suggested to replace the affected object with an alternative product.
