httpd.tkd in Radia Integration Server in Hewlett-Packard (HP) OpenView Configuration Management (CM) Infrastructure 4.0 through 4.2i and Client Configuration Manager (CCM) 2.0 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via URLs containing tilde (~) references to home directories, as demonstrated by ~root.
The weakness was disclosed 10/25/2007 (Website). The advisory is shared at h20000.www2.hp.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2007-5413 since 10/12/2007. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
