Buffer overflow in Cisco Unified IP Phone 7940, 7940G, 7960, and 7960G running SCCP and SIP firmware might allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted DNS response.
The bug was discovered 02/13/2008. The weakness was disclosed 02/14/2008 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at cisco.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2008-0530 since 01/31/2008.
