Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in the Sniplets 1.1.2 and 1.2.2 plugin for WordPress allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) text parameter to (a) warning.php, (b) notice.php, and (c) inset.php in view/sniplets/, and possibly (d) modules/execute.php; the (2) url parameter to (e) view/admin/submenu.php; and the (3) page parameter to (f) view/admin/pager.php.

The weakness was published 02/28/2008 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at xforce.iss.net. This vulnerability was named CVE-2008-1061 since 02/28/2008. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.

It is possible to download the exploit at securityfocus.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:warning.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
