Opera before 9.26 allows user-assisted remote attackers to execute arbitrary script via images that contain custom comments, which are treated as script when the user displays the image properties.
The bug was discovered 02/20/2008. The weakness was published 02/28/2008 with Mozilla (Website). The advisory is shared at opera.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2008-1081 since 02/28/2008. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
